Madison Carter, Ryan Mallett’s girlfriend, recently shared an emotional tribute to her late partner – a month after his tragic death.
The former NFL quarterback died on June 27 after drowning in the Gulf of Mexico while vacationing with Carter in Destin, Florida.
A funeral was held in his native Arkansas on July 6 that was well attended by a number of former coaches and teammates as well as members of the local community.
The 35-year-old’s passing has naturally been traumatic for Carter, who has posted several tributes to Mallett since his untimely death.
Last week, Carter posted a photo of her wrist, which has a tattoo of number 15 – Mallett’s jersey number while in the NFL and during his college career in Arkansas.

Carter, 27, said she will never be able to understand how Mallett lost his life at just 35 years old
The former quarterback played with Tom Brady for the New England Patriots from 2011-2013
‘One month. You will always be with me, one-five. A constant reminder to be more like you every day,” Carter wrote on Friday.
“You lived every day to the fullest. You loved LOUD. More importantly, you showed your love with your actions, even the smallest ones. If you wanted something, you went for it.
“You said exactly what was on your mind. You were intentional. You gave a piece of yourself to everyone you met. You made everyone feel special. You worked hard. You played harder.
‘You danced whenever you wanted, wherever you were. You saw the good in everyone. You wanted to get better every day. You never settled. You were honest. You were nice. You were special in every way. I love you. And I miss you every second!’
Mallett played in the NFL with the New England Patriots, Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens.
Mallet was drafted in the third round of the 2011 Draft with the 74th overall pick by New England.
He supported Tom Brady for two seasons before spending two seasons with the Texans and three seasons with the Ravens, between 2015-17.
Mallett had more recently returned to Arkansas where he was the coach of the White Hall High School football team in 2022.
