The roles are reversed! Torn beachgoer chases away six wild boars on Marbella beach… after the animals’ frenzied antics give sunbathers the fright of their lives

A ripped beachgoer has been filmed chasing a pack of wild boars that wandered onto a Spanish beach and looted garbage bags.

The animals were seen by tourists looking for food on a beach in Estrella del Mar, near Marbella in the province of Malaga, last weekend.

Phone footage shows a family of six boars walking through the sand among bewildered sunbathers.

The animals climbed over and under lounge chairs as they searched the area for food before digging into garbage bags for leftovers.

Dozens of bathers retreated cautiously to avoid accidental attack, with the animals having a history of emerging from the sea and then gritting their teeth on unsuspecting sunbathers.

However, a man, with a drink in hand, decided to turn the tables and ran after the animals while yelling at them to prevent them from approaching him.

In the clip, he manages to force the bears a few feet away. But the animals stop on a sand dune, ready to strike again when the man turns around.

A third piece of footage appears to show that they returned quickly, as they can be seen digging through the trash next to his bags.

Wild boars are often seen around Spanish beaches. Last year, a wild boar emerged from the Mediterranean Sea and ran onto the beach of the Costa del Sol in front of astonished tourists.

The powerful animal, believed to be about three years old and dubbed ‘the wild boar shark’ by locals, was running through the sands of Benajarafe’s family-friendly beach.

Terrified tourists and locals could be heard screaming as the 10-stone beast swam towards the shoreline, and one was heard yelling in Spanish, “Watch out, it’s coming out of the water.”

It narrowly missed an older couple in swimwear and a topless younger woman in bikini bottoms behind them as it charged onto the beach before disappearing into the reeds behind the sand.

And last June, a female sunbather was injured after being bitten by a wild boar that stormed out of the sea onto a beach on the Costa Blanca.

Footage showed locals and tourists screaming and running for cover as the wild boar ran over their towels and along the beach at El Albir, just north of Benidorm.

Lifeguards managed to shoo the animal away from the beach and busy seaside bars and cafes before it caused more trouble.

The boar collided with the woman and bit her, although it’s not known if the bite was intentional, medics who treated the injured woman at a local health center said.
