The mother of a 13-year-old girl who went missing last week shared a call for help amid disturbing new information about her daughter’s disappearance.
Charlee Castle was last seen at around 11pm last Wednesday at a house on Murrabin Avenue in Matraville, Sydney’s east.
Distraught mother Belinda Drew-Castle has shared several social media posts to track down her missing daughter.
Police and family are concerned for her well-being due to her young age, with her mother writing: ‘We are extremely concerned. She’s not street smart. We fear for her safety.’
In addition to several photos of Charlee, Ms. Drew-Castle described how her daughter “rebeled.”

“Charlee was led astray by a troubled teen known to the police,” she wrote.
“We tried to protect her from this girl by confiscating her phone and imposing restrictions on her.
“She then started escaping our house, jumping out her bedroom window at night.”
Mrs. Drew-Castle believed that Charlee was lonely after being “bullied at school,” which led her to cling to the new friendship.
“She was isolated for years and wanted someone to connect with,” she said.

“We gave our love and support to get her on the right path, but she has rebelled in desperation for her freedom and independence. Now she’s out there on the street.
We fear for her safety. As the days go by I lose hope.’
Officers from the Eastern Beaches Police Area Command have launched an investigation into Charlee’s disappearance.
She was last seen wearing a gray Champion hoodie, black leggings and white Nike shoes.
Charlee is described as being white in appearance, about five feet tall, with a slim build and long blonde hair.
