Loki season 2 trailer shows embattled star Jonathan Majors return and Ke Huy Quan’s Marvel debut
Golden Globe winner Tom Hiddleston’s god of evil suffers a bout of “time slip” in the first official trailer for the six-episode second season of Loki, premiering October 6 on Disney+.
In the example that Marvel Entertainment dropped on Monday, Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan makes his MCU debut as Time Variance Authority archivist Ouroboros, who has no cure for the “time slipping” ailment that sees Loki slide between the past and the future.
“If what I saw is true, nothing stands between this world and utter destruction,” Loki warned ominously. “War is on its way.”
The character of the 42-year-old Englishman referenced the fallout from the first-season finale, where his variant-turned-love-interest Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino) stabbed antagonist He Who Remains, played by embattled star Jonathan Majors.
When Loki questioned how one can choose who lives and who dies, the 33-year-old Cali resident’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania character emerged from the shadows to reply, “Make the hard choice.”

Eric Martin’s MCU Phase Five spin-off show also features Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku, Eugene Cordero, Tara Strong, Neil Ellice, Rafael Casal, Kate Dickie, and Liz Carr.
“At the end of season one, the story isn’t over. I think that’s very clear. Loki is almost more unstable and as turbulent, passionate and chaotic as he’s ever been. And maybe some of that needs a fix. There’s stuff to unpack,’ said Tom Total movie last August.
‘(Playing Loki) is a source of eternal surprise and joy, the whole journey. It’s definitely part of my life now and always will be.’
Hiddleston – who also serves as an executive producer on Loki – has portrayed Thor’s adopted brother in several MCU projects over the past 12 years.
Meanwhile, Jonathan – who appears in three of the six Loki episodes – faces a domestic violence lawsuit from his ex-prosecutor – Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania movement coach Grace Jabbari – which begins this Thursday in Lower Manhattan.
Majors was arrested March 25 after the 30-year-old dancer alleged to police that he punched her in the face, pushed her into a cab and forcibly grabbed her middle finger during a cab ride to his home in Manhattan.
The Creed III action star has denied all of Jabbari’s wrongdoing – as have the 40 people who came forward with allegations of ‘physical, mental and emotional abuse’ on and off set in a Rolling stone exposé published last month.
Jonathan – who is now in a relationship with Harlem actress Meagan Good – has been dropped by his PR agency The Lede Company and management company Entertainment 360.
