Teeth whitening mogul Alison Egan who once chartered a private jet for a lavish store opening under fire for ‘unpaid bills’

A Sydney businesswoman behind a multi-million dollar teeth whitening empire has been accused of failing to pay contractors in a story that brought in celebrity hairdresser Joh Bailey and PR queen Roxy Jacenko.

Alison Egan, 28, founder of mobile teeth whitening Sparkling White Smile (SWS), is accused of owing thousands of dollars to multiple companies and is the subject of a complaint to NSW Fair Trading.

No stranger to the finer things in life, Egan prefers designer clothes and accessories.

She is known to associate with Francessca Packer-Barham and Booby Tape entrepreneurs Bianca and Bridgett Roccisano, considering them close friends.

In 2019, she chartered a private jet for the opening of her newest franchise in Newcastle, along with Roxy Jacenko, former Miss Universe Australia Monica Radulovic and social media influencer Emilee Hembrow, sister of Tammy Hembrow.

The glamor gang even had their teeth whitened by Alison during the flight.

Daily Mail understands that the working relationship between Jacenko and Egan deteriorated shortly after the trip to Newcastle.

Sources in the Eastern Suburbs have confirmed that the SWS’s lease over celebrity hairdresser Joh Bailey in Double Bay was abruptly terminated four weeks ago after falling into rent arrears.

“I can tell you she owes more than a few thousand,” a source revealed.

Daily Mail Australia has spoken to several SWS franchisees who say they are out of money.

One franchisee, who joined the SWS family in February, said she was roped in for months with empty promises that her Alyba Beyond teeth whitening machine would be delivered after Ms. Egan transferred $2,420.

“She gave me a loaner machine and still hasn’t given me the new machine I paid for,” the franchisee said.

“Now she’s demanding the loaner back before she gives me my money back.”

The woman said she reported Ms Egan to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) and NSW Fair Trading before engaging with a lawyer.

“It’s not about the money, I wrote it off – it’s about the principle,” said the young mother.

“I’m sure there are other victims in much worse positions than me,” she added.

Daily Mail Australia understands that Alyba, the company behind the teeth whitening machine, is no longer working with SWS.

Meanwhile, a small business owner says they were hired by Alison to provide media opportunities for her business, but she hasn’t paid them.

Email and text exchanges between the alleged victim and Ms. Egan reveal that the teeth whitener made numerous failed attempts to settle bills dating back to February.

Ms Egan claims to have paid the contractor in May for arrears from four months ago, claiming the transfer has been ‘approved’.

However, the contractor claims never to have received any money.

In Daily Mail correspondence with a contractor, Ms Egan said she had been dealing with “professional challenges that were taking a toll on my work commitments” but would soon “finish all your outstanding invoices quickly.”

Comments have been sought from Ms Egan.
