Lady Gaga finally spoke out about the death of her longtime friend and collaborator Tony Bennett in a touching post shared on Instagram late Sunday night.

The 37-year-old singer-songwriter posted a sweet photo of herself and the legendary crooner – who passed away at 96 on July 21 – as they leaned in for a big hug.

“I will miss my friend forever,” she began her long and emotional caption. “I will miss singing with him, recording with him, talking to him, being on stage together.”

Moving on, she clarified that their relationship was “very real” and not just a transactional interaction to cement their fame.
