Fabrizio Romano’s report says Chelsea is yet to give an official answer as talks will take place in the coming days.
The Hammers are looking for reinforcements in midfield after Declan Rice joined Arsenal earlier this month.
And they’ve got plenty to spend as they’ve agreed a £105m fee plus add-ons for their star man.

Frank Lampard’s interim appointment improved his position in the side as he started eight of the last nine games in the Blues’ disappointing Premier League campaign and scored twice, but his time at Stamford Bridge could now be over.
Gallagher proved during a fruitful loan spell at Crystal Palace in 2021/22 that he is very capable as a box-to-box midfielder, with his high energy and pressure being crucial for Vieira’s squad.
There are already reports that Gallagher could be one of many players to fall victim to Mauricio Pochettino’s anticipated squad clearing, after the Blues ranks swelled following Todd Boehly’s £600 million splurge.
