Mel C flaunts her VERY toned abs as she takes to the stage at UK festival – after Victoria Beckham revealed she won’t be reuniting with the Spice Girls

Mel B showed off her incredibly tight abs when she took the stage at the Standon Calling Festival in Herefordshire on Sunday.

The Spice Girl star, 49, looked incredible in the energetic performance as she belted out her classic hits to the 17,000 strong crowd.

Mel paid homage to her Sporty Spice persona in black sequined Adidas shorts that she paired with a crop top.

The singer started the show by donning a matching hoodie before stripping it off after working up a sweat while showing off her toned and tattooed physique.

Mel let out her breath-taking voice as she passionately gripped the microphone as she strutted across the stage with her belongings.

Standon Calling is an annual music festival held near the village of Standon, Hertfordshire, in the grounds of the Standon Lordship private residence.

It comes after Victoria Beckham disappointed her fellow Spice Girls by saying she will not appear at Glastonbury next year to mark their 30th anniversary.

Reports had claimed that all five original members would reunite in 2024 for a headline slot at Worthy Farm.

But a source close to Ms Beckham told The Mail on Sunday that she wants to concentrate on her fashion label and will not be touring with the band again despite their repeated pleas.

She doesn’t rule out ‘another festive performance’ – although that doesn’t mean she’s going to sing.

Ms. Beckham, 49, will take part in a documentary created by Star Trek and Star Wars director JJ Abrams, which will tell the story of the band’s rise to stardom in the 1990s, featuring interviews and unseen footage from their personal archives.

Mr Abrams and his business partner, Hollywood film director Jason Hehir, are now shopping the project at streaming giants, including Netflix.

A source said: ‘Glastonbury may be the coolest gig in the world, but Victoria won’t be doing it next year.

“She has built a career as a fashion designer that she put blood, sweat and tears into, so singing is something she needs to think about.

“She has unfortunately been greatly ridiculed when she sang in the past.

“She’s a different person now. She looks back fondly on her years with the Spice Girls – they were very special to her – so she hasn’t ruled out having a party one day.

“And Glastonbury doesn’t want the group without Posh at all, it just doesn’t have the same appeal.”

The mother-of-four was ecstatic earlier this year when her income from fashion and beauty products rose 42 per cent to £58 million.

In 2019, the band embarked on a 13-date tour of the UK without Ms. Beckham, nicknamed Posh Spice during her time with the group.

She told Vogue at the time, “It took a lot of courage for me not to go on tour with the Spice Girls again, but to be the one to say, ‘You know, I’m not doing it because things feel different now than they used to.’

She was recently polled again about her return to the Spice Girls for what would have been the first concerts with the original full line-up since the closing ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics.

A headline slot at next year’s Glastonbury was one of the possible dates discussed and promoters hoped Victoria would agree to join Melanie Brown, Geri Halliwell, Melanie Chisholm and Emma Bunton to perform there.

Speculation also increased after this year’s festival was dominated by male headliners like the Arctic Monkeys and Elton John, leading to calls for a greater female presence next year.
