Phil Burton has been crowned the winner of Dancing With The Stars 2023.
The Human Nature singer beat out Home and Away actor Emily Weir to take home the glittering Mirror Ball Trophy and received $20,000 for his chosen charity, NSW Police Legacy.
The other finalists competing on the night were actors Christie Whelan Browne and Virginia Gay, beloved comedian Mary Coustas and singer Paulini.
Phil and partner Ash-Leigh Hunter took first place for their Motown moves to Wilson Pickett’s Land of 1000 Dances, along with Emily and her partner Lyu Masuda performing a Spice Girls-inspired salsa.
After comparing the judges’ scores to the audience’s votes, Christie, Mary, Paulini and Virginia took their leave, with Phil claiming the glittering gong.

The successful crooner was understandably elated with his win.
“This show has been so incredible for the past seven weeks,” he told hosts Daryl Somers and Sonia Kruger. ‘I’ve had the absolute time of my life.
“And, you know, it’s a competition, but it doesn’t feel like it when you’re here and you’re with all these great people. It was an absolute pleasure to be a part of it.
“I also want to thank my family who was here tonight, my beautiful wife and my children.”
Phil reserved his highest praise for dance partner Ash-Leigh Hunter.
“But the biggest thanks for me goes to Ash,” he told the cheering crowd.
“She brought out a side of me that I didn’t even know existed.”

On the final leaderboard, Phil and Ash-Leigh were tied for 39 points with Emily and partner Lyu Masuda.
Virginia Gay and partner Ian Waite, and Christie and Craig Monley tied for third with 36 points.
Mary Coustas and Aric Yegudkin followed with 31 points, while Paulini and Igor Ifliand rounded out the evening with 30 points.
