Our Yorkshire Farm star Amanda Owen’s lover Robert Davies ‘is divorcing his estranged wife’ after his secret five-year fling was revealed

Our Yorkshire farm lover Robert Davies is divorcing his estranged wife after having a secret affair with the TV personality.

The businessman, 71, and the 48-year-old’s five-year affair were revealed in April by Robert’s wife Yasumi, 56.

The romance became public knowledge after his wife found a love letter from Amanda in the trunk of his car and the couple is now getting a divorce.

The letter read: “Robert, life is too short and happiness is too rare. I love you.’

Robert, who has been married five times, is now preparing for another divorce in hopes of marrying mother of nine Amanda.

On behalf of Yasumi, they said, “She finds it very difficult and stressful. It’s been 12 horrible months for her and it’s not getting any easier.

‘Robert has moved into a rented building and is committed to getting the legal process in order.

Yasumi suspects that he wants the divorce to happen as soon as possible so that he and Amanda can be together.

Amanda’s image of a devoted farm wife and mother was overwhelmed by the news that she was leading a double life, having an affair with Robert while still married to her husband of 22 years, Clive, who appears on the show with her.

She and Clive, 68, split in June 2022 after 21 years together released a joint statement saying they had made “the difficult decision to part ways.”

The Yorkshire shepherdess explained that the couple had succumbed to ‘pressure’ but that they had to ‘just get on with it’.

Speaking to the Radio Times, she said: ‘Look, there are two simple facts: if he thought I was brilliant, and I thought he was brilliant, then we wouldn’t have broken up.

‘It’s a fact, isn’t it? But you know what, that’s not unique, it’s just how things are, busy, everything else.

“But we’ve got nine kids, with boyfriends, girlfriends, and we’ll just have to make do with it.”

The couple share children, Raven, 21, Reuben, 19, Miles, 16, Edith, 14, Violet, 12, Sidney, 11, Annas, 9, Clemmy, 7, and six-year-old Nancy.

Amanda first met Robert when she rose to fame in the TV hit Our Yorkshire Farm and enlisted the web developer to work on her website.

Yasumi was reportedly left ‘completely blindsided’ after he left her for the TV star.

She said the businessman was “very nice” until 2018 when she noticed a sudden change in his behavior towards her after he started working with Amanda on her farming website.

After finding the note, Yasumi went looking for more clues and told The Sun that she then discovered some of Owen’s jewelry hidden in a box in their bedroom, including a necklace she had worn on TV that read, “Together forever.”
