Toplace Property developer Jean Nassif ‘splits from younger wife Nissy’ as he’s wanted for questioning in multi-million dollar fraud investigation

Rumor has it that the wife of a controversial property developer wanted for questioning on fraud charges has left him and appears in photographs without her wedding ring.

Nisserine ‘Nissy’ Nassif, wife of Toplace developer Jean Nassif, was spotted late last month out with a friend dressed up to party and minus her wedding bling.

It came after she recently posted a poignant message on Instagram: “You won’t really see how toxic someone is until you breathe fresher air.”

Despite being wanted by police, Mr Nassif has continued his own social media activities and has replied to cryptic comments on his Facebook page.

“You go from their soul mate and center [sic] of their universe – for nothing you ever did to be good enough!’ read a message.

He also wrote, “You are left exhausted in every aspect of your life: mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and often financially!”

Toplace’s construction arm went voluntarily into receivership in early July, with another 64 subsidiaries going under in the past two weeks, possibly owed to creditors of about $200 million.

It is clear that more than 20,000 homeowners in 20 buildings could be affected.

In a photo posted to a friend’s Instagram last month, Ms. Nassif was dressed in a form-fitting black mesh bustier top and matching trousers.

The founder of the Wiping Tears charity was also spied with the same friend a week later with a video posted of the pair posing and having drinks in a bar, reports The Daily Telegraph.

It has long been rumored that Ms Nassif, who has three children with Jean, is estranged from the embattled developer, who is in Lebanon for most of this year.

She presumably still lives in the former couple’s multi-million dollar home in Chiswick, Sydney’s inner west, and is even rumored to be planning a reality TV career, according to the The Sydney Morning Herald.

She will reportedly star in the travel series Adventure All Stars, which will be filmed over six days on a tropical island and will be shown on streaming platform 7Plus.

Meanwhile, Mr Nassif claims he suffers from ‘anxiety, depression and stress’, and a source close to the businessman says he misses his children.

He remains on the run as he is wanted on fraud-related charges, with police charging him with financial crimes dating back to 2021.

Detectives from the NSW Police Department’s Organized Crime Squad obtained a warrant for Mr Nassif’s arrest in June on fraud-related charges.

Mr Nassif became a social media sensation in 2019 when he gave his wife a $480,000 yellow Lamborghini for Valentine’s Day.

He had uploaded a video of him presenting the luxury vehicle to his children’s mother with the comment, “Congratulations Ms. Nassif… do you like it?”

Mr Nassif is the father of attorney Ashlyn Nassif, who is accused of obtaining a $150 million loan from Westpac bank in 2021 using an allegedly forged real estate presale contract.

She has been charged with unfairly obtaining financial advantage through deception and publishing false or misleading material to gain an advantage.

The 27-year-old is accused of forging $10.5 million in pre-sale contracts for the development of the $900 million Sky View apartment complex in Sydney’s northwest.

The partner of law firm EA Legal has yet to plead after she was charged with unfairly obtaining financial advantage through deception and publishing false or misleading material.

She was released on bail in March with $2.6 million secured by her family.

Earlier this year, Mr Nassif was summoned to appear before a NSW parliamentary inquiry into allegations of impropriety in the Hills Shire council, but declined to testify via video link from Lebanon for legal reasons.
