A brawl broke out at a Liverpool pub in the wake of Conor McGregor’s late aunt Pamela, police have confirmed.

McGregor attended and was filmed hurriedly exiting the venue, before sharing a bizarre voice note claiming, “Birkenhead is his.”

The full shot has the Irishman, 35, feigning a Liverpudlian accent and saying: ‘Murder, murder, everybody out. Scousers on the golly. Birkenhead belongs to McGregor.’

The venue in question is The Saddle Club, a pub in the Wirral area, and the UFC superstar was filmed on Tuesday marching swiftly to his Range Rover with personal guards following him.

McGregor looks over his shoulder at the auditorium entrance before repeatedly pulling the door handle until it is seemingly unlocked from the inside by the driver.

It was filmed by local children and the clip features voices in the background claiming that there has been ‘beef’ and that someone has had a ‘flat iron’.

The MMA fighter is quickly ousted and it remains to be seen if anything untoward happened at the pub, despite widespread claims online of a ‘fight’.

That is what a spokesperson says to the ECHO: ‘We were called to The Saddle pub in Prenton, Wirral at 7.50pm last night, Tuesday 18th July, to reports of an altercation.

“Officers went to the pub and spoke to a number of people. Further inquiries are being made to establish what happened, but at this stage no complaints have been made and no one has been arrested.”

McGregor was in Liverpool for the funeral of his late aunt Pamela, who passed away last month.

He shared a number of photos on his own social media pages on his way to the funeral via private jet, as well as snaps from the wake.

McGregor remains the biggest name in martial arts despite not having fought in two years.

He has fully recovered from the broken leg he suffered against Dustin Poirier in 2021 and remains in line to face Michael Chandler in his next fight.

The former twoweight champion has coached against the American in The Ultimate Fighter, but fans have been frustrated by the lack of an announcement of a fight date.

It is known that McGregor will have to sit in the USADA test pool for six months before he is allowed to fight in the UFC again.

But there have been hints of waivers and while Dana White previously doubted McGregor’s return, the man himself says he’s ready.

McGregor said, “I’m training for my own fight,” when asked if he would help Elon Musk or Mark Zuckerberg train for their touted match.

And his manager Audie Attar told DailyMail.com exclusively: “Listen, you can’t rule this year out, but we’re definitely gearing up for a strong match with Michael Chandler.

“The Ultimate Fighter is currently airing, of course. Our team doesn’t do very well in the show, but that doesn’t mean the real fight will end the same way.

“So I’m excited about that matchup,” he continued.

“It’s going to be a great game against Chandler. See if it will happen, if not this year. Certainly. Certainly. Let’s do it early next year.’
