Bethenny Frankel called out Bravo for allegedly not getting permission from Jill Zarin to film outside her late husband Bobby’s funeral in 2018.
Appearing on Monday’s episode of her former Real Housewives of New York City costar’s Just B podcast, the mother-of-one, 59, claimed she didn’t sign a release for the network to cover any part of her funeral. husband, held at the Riverside Memorial Chapel.
After Jill claimed she never gave her blessing for RHONY cameras to capture Bobby’s funeral, Frankel, 52, claimed Andy Cohen told her, “Jill said you can bring the cameras to the funeral.”
“That’s what he told me,” the Skinnygirl creator told Jill, who insisted she didn’t know what the cameras were for, capturing a heartfelt conversation between the women.
When she remembered seeing her estranged boyfriend at the service, Jill told listeners her heart dropped and she was “so happy.”

“You looked dead quiet in that black hat and black suit,” Jill told Frankel.
In response to Jill’s claims that she would not consent to be filmed, the entrepreneur was shocked when she said, “That’s literally the most disgusting thing I’ve ever heard.”
“That’s just disgusting,” she continued. “It’s embarrassing… it’s really disgusting, it’s absolutely disgusting, that’s disgusting, and I apologize because it was a spectacle and a circus and yes, the lines are blurry.”
Jill remembered someone telling her, “Bethenny wants to talk to you before she leaves.”
During their conversation, she commented that she saw cameras, but assumed they were just paparazzi and said she “didn’t have a mic on,” and had no idea that Frankel was.
“So what you’re saying is, I fucking ambushed a reality TV funeral?” asked Frankel.
Jill then made it clear that while she never gave permission for the funeral to be filmed, she did want Bobby’s “death to be acknowledged on the show.”
DailyMail.com has reached out to Bravo for comment, but has not heard back at this time.
Their sit-down is the first time they’ve been alone together since 2010, after years of arguing.

On Monday, Frankel shared a photo with Jill and a sweet caption about how this marks their “first time alone since 2010.”
She noted that the episode aired as is, with no edits or remade sections at Jill’s request, as she was concerned that her words would be manipulated.
That ease made Jill feel at home despite a difficult conversation about the end of their friendship.
“The reason I was mad at you was because I was hurt about losing you and being left out of everything,” Jill said during a moment of emotional openness.
“I remember you were invited on a free trip, and I didn’t want to come for the free trip, but to be with you,” she said sweetly and gloomily. “I felt I lost you and I couldn’t really say I was hurt by things you said.”
She and Bethenny reminisced about how they had first met, and though their memories were hazy, Jill and Bethenny agreed that RHONY had already started filming the first season with Jill as part of the cast, but that producers were still looking for a “fifth housewife.” .’
After running into Bethenny a few years into her stint as runner-up on the 2005 Martha Stewart-hosted spin-off season of The Apprentice, Jill encouraged her to join the new show.
Bethenny even credited Jill for partly inspiring the name of her hugely successful cocktail line Skinnygirl, which she sold for $120 million in 2011, by calling her β seemingly approvingly β a skinny b**** during their first meeting in the Hamptons.
They delved into how their relationship fell apart before Bethenny left at the end of season three.

Jill shared how she was hurt by Bethenny not contacting her when her husband Bobby was ill before he died in 2018 after he was diagnosed with a brain tumor.
Bethenny even applauded Jill’s ruthlessness after Jill admitted she had been upset for a while, but didn’t bring up her feeling of being abandoned by her boyfriend until filming resumed on RHONY.
But Jill said she hoped to work through her issues with Bethenny, and she believed the two might have worked it out if the businesswoman had stayed for the fourth season of RHONY, rather than leaving for a spin-off reality series and later. a short-lived talk show, though she later returned to RHONY after Jill’s departure in season four.
According to Zarin, once the housewives weren’t filming together and regularly in each other’s company, they drifted further away as their problems with each other continued to fester.
Elsewhere, Jill admitted that she was “not good with surprises,” which is what made her such a popular housewife.
“Every time you surprised me, I couldn’t handle it!” she said, making for great TV, but when she finally scheduled a confrontation herself, she ran out of screen time with Bethenny to apologize.
