Perth Fyre restaurant chef John Mountain launches clothing line mocking Tash Peterson and vegans
A celebrity chef has made a fashion statement by launching a clothing line that mocks notorious vegan activist Tash Peterson.
John Mountain, who has taken legal action against Ms Peterson after the pair argued during protests at his restaurant Fyre in north Perth, showed off the provocative range of tank tops, t-shirts and hoodies on his new merchandise website.
The page, which launched on Saturday, promises customers will love the clothes “hopefully more than Tash loves the chef.”
It features clothing bearing the restaurant’s branding and slogans such as “Happy with meat stew,” “no animals were harmed in the making of this shirt,” and “all they’ve done is added fuel to the Fyre.”
One of the designs features a Google-esque review image with the words “Absolutely f***ing chaotic ‘Tash Peterson’ mocking Ms. Peterson’s description of a protest and the deluge of Fyre- reviews posted by vegans.

Fyre closed its blinds and door on June 30 and July 8 as Mrs. Peterson and her groups of supporters stood outside with protest signs, singing and playing deafening recordings of pigs screeching as they were slaughtered.
The protests came after Mr Mountain announced last month that he would ban vegans from his upscale eatery on mental health grounds following a negative review.
Mr Mountain’s new range of clothing has been met with overwhelming enthusiasm on the Fyre Facebook page.
‘Can you please do ‘no vegans allowed’ shirts…. I’m in for one and I’m pretty sure half of Australia, otherwise the world would be too!!’ wrote to person.
Another said: ‘Well played. This man should be Aussie of the year. His business will absolutely flourish.”
“John Mountain for Prime Minister,” another remarked.

Mr. Mountain drew the ire of herbivores late last month when he banned non-meat eaters from his restaurant last month after an unfortunate dinner party got out of hand.
During the June 30 protest, Ms. Peterson burst into the restaurant with a loudspeaker and played the sounds of pig slaughter while reciting slogans condemning the diners for eating meat.
Restaurant staff assaulted Ms. Peterson and her supporters outside.
On July 8, Mrs. Peterson failed to enter the eatery, but Mr. Mountain emerged and attempted to wrestle the speaker off her, while one of the other activists tackled the chef and hugged him.
Fyre’s Facebook has posted a court notice detailing a misdemeanor charge against Ms. Peterson over the June 30 raid.
The notice included an admission of guilt and described the violation as: “Failure to leave licensed premises when requested to do so by an authorized person.”
“Sorry to continue. The beautiful Tash Peterson got a lot more than you think,” the page read.

In a separate post, the Facebook page shows a legal letter from Fyre’s landlord stating that Tash Peterson has been banned from the property.
“Hahahahahaha and so it begins,” reads the Facebook comment.
“Let’s drive her out of WA forever. God bless you @vganbooty and everyone who sails in you. Nice to know you.’
Ms Peterson, who goes by the name ‘Vgan Booty’ on social media, posted pictures of herself setting fire to the post.
Speaking to The West Australian earlier this week, Peterson said her protests were not about the ban on vegans, but she used the publicity to highlight her bigger cause.
“I am there on behalf of the non-human animals who are victims of rape, enslavement, torture, abuse and murder,” she said.
Ms. Peterson, who flew to London for a vegan festival, launched her own clothing line ‘VGan clan’ almost two years ago.
The clothing features slogans such as ‘Eat p***y not animals’ and ‘End the animal holocaust’ and ‘People who care about animals don’t eat them’.
The activist has repeatedly drawn media attention for her stunts, such as wearing revealing lingerie while holding up signs, reportedly earning $40,000 a month from her OnlyFans website.
