How long have they been together?
They first met at their Serbian high school in the late 90s, but they didn’t officially start dating until 2005.
The couple got engaged in September 2013 and officially married in July 2014.
The wedding took place at Aman Sveti Stefani in 2014, just days after Novak won his second Wimbledon title.
In 2016, Novak recalled an awkward first date at a bar in Monte Carlo.
“In my eyes it was a very exclusive place to take her at the time,” Novak said.
The couple first met at school in Serbia, but only started dating in 2005 and would eventually tie the knot in 2014
“I wanted to impress her, so I found this really good restaurant.” But Jelena said, “Auspicious moment, he wants to order for me, and it was not what I expected.”
After ordering steak, Novak called the waiter and explained that the steak was undercooked.
The waiter said, “You ordered the steak tartare, it’s always served raw.”
Novak later revealed that whenever he and Jelena see a steak tartare on the menu, it always reminds them of their first date.
