Towards the end of the reel, Angelina looked into the distance and added, “Call it fate or Jesus, but I’ll call it Kim.” I will definitely call it Kim,” she said concluding the nearly 30-second video.

The SKIMS founder himself simply added the word “wowww” in the text at the bottom of the reposted TikTok, followed by a praying hands emoji.

Social media users jumped to the comment section on Angelina’s post, penning one: “Your sense of humor about it is so great, I’m glad you’re safe!” @Kim Kardashian help a girl!’

Another wrote, “Okay, but you should be a skims sponsor @Skims right away,” to which Wiley replied with, “I pray.”

In the early hours of January 1, 2023, Angelina was out with friends in Kansas City, Missouri celebrating the New Year when the tragic shooting happened, per KCTV. Along with Wiley, another man had been shot during the incident and suffered “life-threatening injuries.”

In a TikTok series shared in March, she recalled the events that had transpired and explained that her group was waiting for a Lyft around 2:30 in the morning and decided to grab a bite to eat at a nearby food truck.

Both Angelina ‘Nina’ and another friend of hers crossed the street to the food truck to check on their order. She recalled that “people were fighting on the road” and soon she saw “a man in a balaclava” come forward and start firing.

She admitted that she was “immediately shot” but “didn’t know right away” as both she and her boyfriend tried to quickly get to safety. Once they got to the food truck, she slumped to the ground and realized she had been shot.

During an interview with Time last month in June, Kim talked about the company’s success in just four years.

“Obviously you dream big and you have big expectations, but this was absolutely beyond anything I could have ever imagined, especially if I was starting a shapewear brand in the first place,” the reality star explained.

“I’m also the kind of person where I never get too excited, but there are those moments,” she added, recalling a moment when she was recognized for SKIMS by individuals in the entertainment industry. “I never dreamed this would be my life.”

As the brand continues to grow, Kim recently had a pop-up store for New York City’s SKIMS at Rockefeller Center in May, and the shapewear and loungewear is also available in UK stores such as Harrods.
