PICTURED: Riley Keough emerges gloomy in LA as her mother Lisa Marie Presley’s shocking cause of death is revealed…just days after her bittersweet Emmys nomination
Riley Keough, the daughter of Lisa Marie Presley, looked gloomy on Thursday when she was spotted after her mother’s cause of death was revealed.
The actress, who recently bagged an Emmy nomination, was dressed casually in a white top and blue and white striped pants.
Riley looked makeup-free with her ginger hair down and some yellow-framed shades for her eyes. She carried her things in a yellow tote bag.
She stopped by the Brentwood Country Mart to do some shopping.
Elvis Presley’s daughter Lisa Marie died in hospital on January 12 after going into repeated cardiac arrest.
Less than 24 hours prior to her hospitalization, she attended the Golden Globes with Riley and her mother Priscilla Presley to support actor Austin Butler, who was nominated for his portrayal of Elvis in the 2022 biopic of Baz Luhrmann.
And six months later, it has now been revealed that Lisa Marie died from complications caused by a previous weight-loss surgery. Opioids were also found in her blood.

Six months after her passing, it has now been revealed that Lisa Marie passed away from complications caused by a previous weight-loss surgery. Opioids were also found in her blood; Riley and Lisa in the picture
The LA County Coroner Report stated that the star died from sequelae (a condition resulting from a previous illness or injury) of small intestinal obstruction.
The intestinal obstruction was in the form of a pinched small intestine, caused by adhesions that had developed many years earlier after bariatric surgery (stomach stapling).
The toxicology results also show that Lisa had ‘therapeutic’ levels of Oxycodone in her blood, with a second opioid Buprenorphine – which is used to treat opioid dependence – also found.
There were also traces of quetiapine, an antipsychotic drug, reports TMZ.
The coroner states that no “drugs or narcotics” were found at her home and that her urine toxicology screening was negative.
The report confirms that Lisa underwent cosmetic surgery and was prescribed opioids a few months before her death.
The reports also state that the star had a “history of alcohol and drug abuse.”
Days after her mother’s passing on Jan. 12, Riley took to Instagram to share an old photo of herself and Lisa from her childhood.
She just posted a red heart emoji in the caption.
This past Mother’s Day, the actress – whose father is musician Danny Keough – expressed her gratitude for Lisa in a touching post.
“Fortunate to have had the best and most loving mama I could have wished for,” wrote Riley, who shared a photo of Lisa rocking her as a baby next to Danny.
More recently, Riley admitted that she “misses” both her mother and brother Benjamin Keough as she celebrates the three-year anniversary of his untimely death.
“I miss you both,” Riley wrote, sharing a sepia-toned photo of a young Benjamin making funny faces with Lisa Marie.
He was only 27 years old when he took his own life in July 2020 at Lisa Marie’s home in Calabasas. It was reported that Benjamin died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
His good friend Brandon Howard spoke PEOPLE shortly after his death, he told the outlet that Benjamin was “struggling with depression” and that the COVID-9 lockdown may have exacerbated the problem.
Along with Benjamin and Riley, Lisa also has twin daughters Harper and Finley with ex-husband Michael Lockwood. They divorced in 2016.
