A mother has come under fury after she revealed she wants to take her sick daughter, who is suffering from a “dangerous bacterial infection,” to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour.

Sabrina Barstow, of Fort Collins, Colorado, recently took to Twitter to ask if anyone had tickets available for the pop star’s upcoming concert in Los Angeles, California, in early August, because she wanted her 13-year-old daughter, Charlotte, to being able to see the show after having to miss the show in her home state due to her hospitalization.

But the mom was fiercely criticized by fellow Swifties, who dismissed her for potentially endangering the teen by taking her to a “super-spreader event” while she’s still battling an illness.

“This is a really long shot, but I shoot it. My daughter attended [the children’s hospital in Washington, D.C.] battling a dangerous bacterial infection in her blood, pneumonia and bilateral pleural effusion,” Sabrina wrote in her tweet.

“We are from Colorado and I had three tickets to take my girls to #TheErasTour on July 15th.

“We’re going to miss the show in Denver because we can’t leave DC until the 15th when her antibiotics are done.”

While some people responded saying they would try to help Sabrina find tickets so Charlotte could attend the sold-out show, others accused her of “underestimating the seriousness of her child’s illness” and pointed out that she would expose her to the show. . to a whole range of germs while already ‘vulnerable’.

Charlotte is due to complete her course of antibiotics on July 15 and Taylor will perform a series of shows in Inglewood, California on August 3, less than three weeks later.

Others pointed out that some fans have admitted to attending the Eras Tour while suffering from COVID-19.
