Rudy Farias breaks silence on why he went ‘missing’ for 8 years, makes accusations against his mom

Rudy Farias has spoken out for the first time to deny he was ever sexually assaulted by his mother, but insisted he was “brainwashed and manipulated” during his imprisonment.

The Texan was missing for eight years before mysteriously reappearing this month amid allegations that his mother Janie Santana kept him in captivity.

Speak against Fox26Houston, Farias said his ordeal felt like he had “lived in a prison,” adding, “I just wanted to be free. I just wanted to live my life.’

He added that he was not harassed by Santana, who has not been charged.

“She didn’t force herself on me or anything like that,” he said. ‘It would never be like that. Just things that made me feel really uncomfortable.”

Farias was missing for eight years, before mysteriously reappearing amid accusations from neighbors that he had been seen frequently in the area.

Farias’ time in alleged captivity began in March 2015, when his mother reported him missing to the Houston Police Department.

But as authorities searched for him for nearly a decade, Farias has now provided a harrowing insight into his life in captivity.

While he denied that his ordeal was sexual in nature, Farias claims he was emotionally dominated by his mother, controlling his every move.

He claimed that his mother would not physically restrain him, but would instead cheat and abuse him in order not to want to leave.

“She would manipulate me into saying I was going to be arrested for a speeding ticket,” he said. “It just felt like brainwashing, honestly.”

In a heartbreaking admission, Farias said his mother would be in charge of every aspect of his life, including keeping him hidden when friends and family would visit.

In tears as he made the claim, Farias said, “I should just listen to my family and be cheerful on the other side of a ****** door … I would say, I just want my family, want just people, just want communication.’

Farias revealed during his bombshell interview that his mother allegedly told him things he wouldn’t be able to verify, forcing him into a position of trust.

Despite a slew of disturbing allegations against her, Farias insisted he had never been sexually assaulted by his mother.

“She didn’t force herself on me or anything like that,” he said. ‘It would never be like that. Just things that made me feel really uncomfortable.”

Houston police have so far refrained from charging Farias’ mother, but he now says he’s just happy to be free.

“I feel like I’m just at peace now. Just feels happy, you know?’ he said.

News that Farias was found alive was met with joy in his home state earlier this month, with his mother claiming that her “non-verbal” son was only alive thanks to a miracle.

But the story soon took a dark turn as Farias began making a series of bizarre and shady allegations about his mother.

Among the claims was that she would let him “play daddy” while he was naked in bed, treat him like a slave and give him hallucinogenic drugs.

His mother had reported him missing in 2015 when he was 17, but adding to the confusion, neighbors said he was never missing and saw him regularly.

At the time of Farias’ disappearance, his mother told officials he had been suffering from depression and PTSD since his brother died in a motorcycle accident in 2011, an incident he spoke of to neighbors, according to neighbors.

Farias’ father, Houston police officer Rudolph Farias III, committed suicide in 2014. He was a 21-year veteran and was facing an internal affairs investigation at the time of his death.

In the days after he was found, Farias was seen hiding his face under a blanket while being escorted out of a Houston hotel by consultant Quanell X, who became emotional as he described his conversation with the young man.
