Samantha Jade doesn’t look like this anymore! X-Factor star ditches her signature long blonde locks and flaunts an edgy new hairstyle

Samantha Jade is known for her beautiful long blonde locks.

But the Australian singer recently decided it was time for a change when she cut off a significant portion of her hair.

The X Factor Australia star, 36, took to Instagram on Friday to show off her edgy new shorter haircut.

Samantha kept her hair pretty blonde because she cut it bluntly just below her shoulders.

In an instant, the Sweet Talk hitmaker pouted her lips and held up a peace sign as her hair was styled into a loose wave.

She looked comfortable as she donned an oversized blue hoodie and a luxe black Prada shoulder bag.

The singer captioned the photo: ‘New hair do care!’

Samantha rose to fame in 2012 when she won the fourth season of The X-Factor Australia, becoming the first woman to win the series.

Last October, she married her longtime partner Pat Handlin in an intimate ceremony in Venice.

The pair exchanged vows in front of a celebrant and their friends, including singer Guy Sebastian and his wife Jules.

Speaking at Hayu’s Loud and Proud event in Sydney last February for World Pride, Samantha said it’s an “absolute honor” to be called a “gay icon,” but she would never call herself that.

“The community gives me so much,” she said at the time.

“There’s been so many things I’ve been through and they’re just there, my best friends are gay.”
