Travel collapse! Woman goes berserk at Mexican airport ticket counter after airline refused to issue refund when her reservation disappeared from system

  • María Guadalupe destroyed a Volaris ticket counter at Mexico City International Airport shortly after her reservation failed to show up in their system
  • The 56-year-old was angry with an airline agent who told her to ask for a refund from the travel agency that sold her the ticket
  • She attempted to flee the airport but was intercepted by auxiliary police officers

A female passenger was taken into custody at Mexico City International Airport after vandalizing a ticket counter because the agent would not refund her money for a missing reservation.

María Guadalupe, 56, lost her temper after the flight reservation she made through a travel agency failed to show up in the Volaris system.

Cell phone footage showed Guadalupe standing atop the counter’s luggage scale and slamming a computer screen to the floor after being instructed to contact the agency to get her money back.

She continued to argue with the workers and at one point threw a barcode scanner on the floor as shocked passengers waiting to check in their luggage watched.

“If you don’t want that, don’t give me the money back. I do not give a hoot. But that’s going to cost you,” she yelled at one of the officers.

‘Don’t give it to me. But you pay for that, and if you don’t want that, that’s fine.’

She then walked over to a second counter, where she picked up a screen and keyboard and slammed both onto the floor.

A person could be seen standing at the counter waiting for Guadalupe to end her tantrum before escorting her off.
