Atletico Madrid have opened talks with Tottenham Hotspur over an attack on midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
Mail Sport understands that the Denmark international wants the chance to join La Liga, which will play in the Champions League next season.
Hojbjerg is a regular target for Atletico boss Diego Simeone, who has instructed his recruiting staff to look into a move for the 27-year-old, who is also drawing interest from Germany.
So far Tottenham have shown reluctance to do business, but sources have indicated talks are underway for the move to take place.
Hojbjerg is said to be actively open to moving to the Spanish capital this summer.
