Shocking moment tourist risks falling to his death at Ibiza Rocks Hotel

EXCLUSIVE: Shocking moment British tourist threatens to drop dead while walking over the narrow ledge of the Ibiza Rocks Hotel as another British holidaymaker begs him to come down

  • The heartbreaking incident took place at the Ibiza Rocks Hotel on the night of July 1
  • This is because several other British tourists in Ibiza have died from balconies

This is when a daredevil tourist cheated death by swinging dozens of feet in the air over a ledge as terrified vacationers watched in an Ibiza hotel.

The heartbreaking incident took place at the Ibiza Rocks Hotel on July 1, where an unknown Briton climbed atop the precarious ledge as onlookers gasped in disbelief.

Carefully moving along the narrow ledge, the man risked an almost certain fatal fall into the paved courtyard below with only one loss of balance.

The scene was captured by Charlie Brooke Walsh, 19, a dental assistant who felt compelled to share the shocking footage to discourage people from performing similar stunts.

“I want to draw attention to people who fall off balconies on holiday after using drugs or booze,” Charlie told MailOnline.

A massive fall into the cobbled courtyard below meant that one wrong move, one momentary loss of balance, would have led to tragedy

“I witnessed someone on top of a ledge in a hotel thinking he had no hope of crossing, but luckily he did!

“Something needs to be put in place because it happens to too many young people who lose their lives because of stupid decisions with insufficient security measures.”

The music video depicts the unknown man’s daring and perilous journey up the ledge, during which he balanced imperturbably in the air despite the abyss yawning below him just inches away.

The incident serves as a stark reminder of the risks people take when under the influence or making impulsive decisions, and the Ibiza Rocks Hotel, known for its vibrant atmosphere and vibrant party scene, is now facing questions about the safety of its premises.

Charlie added: “Security found him about 15 minutes after he got up there and he was removed, but the next day he was found at the Ocean Beach Club as if nothing had happened.”

“If he had fallen, it would have caused psychological problems for other people…people don’t understand how much their actions can affect someone else.”

Against all odds, the brave Briton managed to make it to the other side, eventually escaping what would undoubtedly have been a fatal fall.

Other holidaymakers, meanwhile, were less fortunate.

Just days after the unknown man cheated death at the Ibiza Rocks hotel, a British holidaymaker died after jumping from a balcony at the Ibiza party resort San Antonio, in the latest tragedy to hit the tourist hotspot.

The 35-year-old man died on the spot early this morning. The alarm was raised just after 3:15 a.m., but emergency services rushed to the scene said the man was already dead when they arrived.

Local authorities are investigating, according to police sources, that the man was on a second-floor balcony when he went over the edge.

Less than weeks earlier, 22-year-old British tourist and amateur footballer John McKenna died at the same resort after jumping from a three-star hotel.

McKenna, who was from Carlisle in Cumbria, was also pronounced dead at the scene after desperate efforts by paramedics to save his life.
