Johnny Depp wears a medical boot and walks with a crutch in Manchester amid ‘painful’ ankle injury
Johnny Depp was seen wearing medical boots and walking with the aid of crutches on Wednesday as he left his hotel in Manchester, recovering for weeks after suffering a ‘painful’ ankle injury.
The Hollywood star, 60, took it easy as he relied on the help of the walking aid to gently navigate his way to his tour bus.
Johnny is currently on tour with his band Hollywood Vampires, with the supergroup on the UK leg with upcoming gigs in Scarborough, Swansea, Manchester and London.
Johnny didn’t let his injury get in the way and looked cheerful as he walked out of his hotel toward the bus, rocker holding a red cup.
Looking cool, the Pirates Of The Caribbean star wore a distressed brown leather jacket that he paired with a blue plaid shirt and a slouchy hat with blue and red stripes.

To complete his look, he added black pants, blue-tinted sunglasses, and white and green trainers, with his other foot enclosed in the medical boot.
MailOnline has reached out to representatives for Johnny for comment.
Johnny’s performance on crutches comes after he was forced to postpone the US leg of his band’s upcoming tour due to a painful lower body injury.
After spraining his ankle while promoting his movie, Jeanne Du Barry, at the Cannes Film Festival in June, a source revealed to TMZ at the time the star “emphasized it further while trying to get through” at a tribute show for his late friend Jeff Beck.
An insider revealed to the publication that the father-of-two has “broken his ankle and his medical team has instructed him not to fly for the foreseeable future.”
This means that the Edward Scissorhands actor was unable to perform at the Hollywood Vampires’ next three shows, which were scheduled for June in New Hampshire, Massachusetts and New York.
Last month, Depp and his bandmates, Alice Cooper and Joe Perry, confirmed the news that they will have to reschedule their first three US tour dates on their Instagram account.
“We are sorry to inform you that the Hollywood Vampires will be rescheduling our three US tour dates this week,” the band revealed in their post.

They continued: ‘Johnny has suffered a painful ankle injury following his recent performances and has been advised by his doctor not to travel.’
“He is devastated by this turn of events, but is looking forward to resting so that all four Vampires can give their very best on tour in Europe,” the group continued.
Johnny, Alice and Joe formed the Hollywood Vampires in 2012, initially performing covers in honor of rock stars who died in the 1970s.
Johnny previously toured with Beck and recorded an album with the legendary guitarist, who passed away at age 78 after contracting bacterial meningitis.
The pair created a 13-song collection, featuring two new Depp originals and an eclectic mix of covers ranging from iconic artists like the Beach Boys, Marvin Gaye and John Lennon to alternative rockers like Killing Joke and The Velvet Underground.
“When Johnny and I started playing together, it really sparked our youthful spirit and creativity. We joked about how we felt 18 again so that became the album title too,” Beck, 77, said in a statement about the album, as reported by Billboard.
In keeping with their fond teenage memories sparked by the music, the two artists decided to use an illustration of themselves as an 18-year-old drawn by Beck’s wife Sandra for the album cover.
