Weston McKennie, the star of the US national team, is in talks with Bundesliga giant Borussia Dortmund, according to ESPN.
The 24-year-old midfielder recently returned to Juventus after six months on loan to Leeds United, who eventually relegated from the English Premier League.
McKennie has had promising spells during his time at Juventus, but he was never able to cement a role in the starting eleven, and it is common knowledge that the team are looking for players in the transfer market.
In total he played 96 games for Juventus, in which he scored 13 goals and five assists.
The last match he played for the side was 29 January when he played 90 minutes in a win against Atalanta.

His history as a Schalke academy product and senior player may complicate his move
On the face of it, a move to a Dortmund-loving side would be a solid move for a young player, but the long-standing feud known as ‘The Revier derby’ could complicate the way.
McKennie made his first professional appearances for Dortmund’s fierce rivals FC Schalke after working his way up from the club’s U19s and the fierce competition with Dortmund could cause quite a bit of backlash if the move does indeed come to fruition.
Despite possibly being portrayed as the greatest villain in German football, McKennie would have the pleasure of being reunited with USMNT teammate Giovanni Reyna if he moved to Dortmund.
Reyna has become a regular in Dortmund’s attack alongside talented veterans such as Julian Brandt and Marco Reus.
A potential move would also see McKennie part ways with newly acquired teammate Timothy Weah, who recently signed for Juventus after playing in various positions for Lille in Ligue 1 last year.
