‘We’ve had a tough year’: Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky make statement after ‘divorce’
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards and husband Mauricio Umansky have issued a joint statement denying they are getting a divorce, but not separating.
The statement came amid reports on Monday that they had split after 27 years of marriage, as Richards has reportedly been seeing country singer Morgan Wade.
The statement from Richards, 54, and Umansky, 53, read: ‘With regard to the news that has come out about us today… Any allegations about us separating are untrue.
‘But yes, we’ve had a tough year. The most challenging of our marriage. But we both love and respect each other very much. Nobody did anything wrong.’
They continued, “While we are in the public eye, we ask to be able to resolve our issues privately.
“While it may be entertaining to speculate, please don’t create false stories to fit an otherwise salacious narrative.”

The statement came amid reports that they have split on Monday after 27 years of marriage, as Richards has been seeing country singer Morgan Wade.
They concluded with “Thanks for the love and support,” as they signed the letter, Kyle & Mauricio.
Richards and Umansky “have been separated for some time but still live under the same roof,” an insider told me. People Monday. “They remain friendly as they figure out what’s next for them and their family.”
Richards and Umansky married in January 1996 and share daughters Alexia, 27, Sophia, 23, and Portia, 15.
Mauricio is also stepfather to Kyle’s daughter Farrah Aldjufrie, 34, from her first marriage to Guraish Aldjufrie.
The shocking split comes in the midst of a TMZ report that Kyle has been “with country singer” Wade, 28, in the wake of their divorce, and that they “reportedly have matching heart tattoos.”
Dailymail.com has reached out to representatives for Richards, Umansky and Wade for comment on the story.
An Instagram user under the handle @facereality16 had theorized about the budding relationship between Richards and Wade, pointing out that they had subtly acknowledged their romance by wearing matching silver bands.
Amid the speculation that Richards and Wade were wearing rings, a separate wave of suspicion surrounded Richards and Umansky last spring after she was spotted without her wedding ring on an outing.
Umansky, appearing on the podcast in April Two T’s in a pod with Teddi Mellencamp and Tamra Judge said the couple “didn’t get a divorce.”

He insisted, “I mean, it’s so stupid. That one stupid story that came out there, and then all the girls, you know, decided to talk about it on the Housewives, and now it’s a storyline.”
Richards did not acknowledge the split on social media on Monday, when she posted a slew of photos of herself with longtime boyfriend Faye Resnick in a series of Instagram Stories posts to wish Resnick a happy 66th birthday.
Richards and Umansky are reportedly still living together amid their divorce and share their sprawling Encino mansion, which they bought for a whopping $8.2 million in October 2017.
The residence was previously owned by Smokey Robinson, according to Page sixwho lived there from 1988 to 2002.
The 10,600-square-foot home was renovated just before it was sold to the couple, and it now features seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms, eight fireplaces, a home theater, a library, two powder rooms, numerous living areas, a formal dining room, and modern kitchen with state of the art appliances.
Outside, it offers a 150 square meter guest house, swimming pool, spa, artificial creek, gazebo and putting green.
Kyle’s fame preceded her spot on the Bravo series as she is Kathy Hilton’s sister and Paris Hilton’s aunt.
Richards and her family came to limelight in 2010 when she was a main cast member of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

A dozen seasons later, only Kyle remains on the hit reality series (while Vanderpump has had huge success with her own spin-off Vanderpump Rules).
The series’ 12th season revolved around Richards dealing with fragile family relationships – including with Kathy – as Umansky steadfastly supported her through the tense time.
“I’ve always supported her 100 percent no matter what she does,” Umansky said E! News in November.
“If she wants to reconcile, I’m all for it. If she’s not ready to reconcile and she has to hold out for a while, then I support her 100 percent.’

The timing of the split comes about a year and a half after the duo celebrated a marriage milestone on their 25th wedding anniversary.
“It means so much, and it’s something we’re both incredibly proud of,” Richards shared Bravo insiders in November 2021.
And for me, it’s one of my greatest achievements. I mean, I find it refreshing, in this city, being married for 25 years is very important. And we are very proud to be a good role model for our daughters.’
Umansky said their marriage had been “wonderful and beautiful” and the long time they had been married flew by.
“To be honest, it feels easy and it doesn’t feel like it’s been that long,” he told Bravo Insider.
“And you know, I definitely plan to spend the rest of my life with her. So hopefully it will take at least another 25 years, and maybe another 50 years.’
