Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young insists the NBA needs the likes of Zion Williamson and Ja Morant.
New Orleans Pelicans star Williamson has been embroiled in scandal after porn star Moriah Mills publicly attacked him on social media after the basketball player posted a photo of his pregnant girlfriend.
While Morant, of the Memphis Grizzlies, received a 25-game suspension for appearing to wave a gun to the camera for the second time.
Young, who started his career in the NBA just a year before the pair, has said the league needs both players and believes “they will retire to the right side.”
“You hate to see it,” he said on his own podcast From the point.

“I mean, for me, I know them personally, so I really hope they come out of this situation and pull out on the good side because they’re so talented, they’re so good.
“The league needs these kinds of players to go, because of course LeBron [James]like guys [Kevin Durant]these guys are getting older, so guys are about to drop out of the league.
“You need guys like Ja and Zion to be in the league because they’re both really good guys, and I’m pulling for both of them, and I think they’ll come out on the right side.
“For Zion, I think it’s just getting healthy for him. He just has to get on the field and I hope he gets really healthy.’
Striker Williamson has barely been able to stay on the field, playing just 29 games last season, having missed the entire 2021-2022 season, and has only crossed the 60-game mark once in his four years as a pro .
Williamson’s off-season also got off to a rocky start in his personal life, as he was called out online by porn star Mills after announcing that he and girlfriend Ahkeema were expecting a daughter.
Mills went on a Twitter rant after the news went public, claiming she slept with the Pelicans star the week before, saying he “better pray” she wasn’t pregnant.
The adult performer also later released alleged texts between the pair.

Morant, 23, was suspended for 25 games by the NBA earlier this month after two incidents in as many months in which he appeared to be waving a gun on camera.
First he filmed himself holding a gun in a strip club in Denver and later he was filmed holding a gun in a car with a friend.
Morant said in a statement when his suspension was announced: “I’ve had time to think and I realize how much pain I’ve caused. I want to apologize to the NBA, the Grizzlies, my teammates and the city of Memphis.
