Melania Trump was spotted stepping out of Trump Tower with her son Barron on Wednesday. The former first lady was dressed casually in a green shirt and white trousers, while 17-year-old Barron wore a suit and tie. The mother-and-son duo climbed into a black SUV while an assistant helped load several Louis Vuitton bags, worth more than $8,000, and briefcases emblazoned with the presidential emblem. Secret Service agents stood by to keep watch.
The two Trumps were last seen in New York on June 14, the day of Donald’s 77th birthday. They had similar luggage with them, but their destination was unclear. It was also unclear where they went on Wednesday. Last week, Donald Trump told Fox News that Melania believes he has been “deeply mistreated” and is “100%” behind him, even though the former first lady has not been seen by his side as he fends off two charges. In an interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier, Trump was asked how his first lady “handled all this.” “The people love Melania,” Trump told Baier in a transcript of the interview DailyMail.com obtained before it aired.
“She’s a very confident person. She thinks I’m very mistreated. While Trump was being charged federally in Florida, Melania Trump was seen going to maintenance appointments in Manhattan.
She was not at his speech at his golf club in Bedminister, NJ when he defended himself against the latest round of charges. There are reports that Melania Trump wanted to flee the United States this summer as her husband faces multiple legal issues and is taking Barron to Europe.
Despite Trump’s endorsement, the former first lady has not been seen alongside her husband as he defends himself against two criminal charges and campaigns for a second term in the White House. Trump faces federal indictment on charges related to his possession of classified documents and state New York charges related to a hush money payment to [adult entertainment] star Stormy Daniels.
