‘God is the greatest. He has given me the strength to carry on,” the Wild ‘n Out star added.
Understandably, DC (born John Whitfield) is shocked by Jacky’s sudden death and admits his wounds are still raw and he still cries over her loss, but chooses to get emotional in the privacy of his own home, as opposed to the public.
‘We humans. We are emotional,” he said of his recent mood and emotions. ‘That is the point. People want to see me cry. I’m just not going to record myself crying and show myself crying.’
He went on to confess that he’s been “crying all the time” since Jacky’s passing before sharing how he leans on his faith and belief in God.
“I prefer to show positivity and let people know that God is the greatest,” explains the 31-year-old television personality. “I want to continue to show that God keeps me going and keeps giving me the strength. ‘
DC went on to share “that’s the message I want to keep spreading in the world because there’s a lot of things out there and they want to desensitize the enemy to what the enemy is doing,”
“No, the enemy is still at work, but God is always greater, Earl.”
When asked how his “babies” are doing, he was quick to reply that his three children he shared with Jacky – ages six, three and 11 months – are “beautiful.”
“I have to take care of my babies, and that’s the key to life. You have to keep going, keep praying and never let the tragedies and things you go through get you down,” the battle rap game show star said of his process of getting through such a tragedy.
DC admitted that conversations with his children have been tough since their mother’s death.
Granted, DC says you really, really understand what those emotions are like until you experience a personal tragedy.
Finally, the internet personality was asked if Jacky’s death would open the door to much-needed conversations about cosmetic surgery and scare people away.
