A British tourist has tragically died in bed next to his girlfriend after suffering a heart attack at their hotel in Menorca.
The 37-year-old began having trouble breathing in the early morning hours on Wednesday before going into “irreversible cardiac arrest,” local press reports said.
His girlfriend noticed his breathing difficulties and called emergency services.
Paramedics rushed to the hotel in Arenal d’en Castell, but their attempts to resuscitate the man failed. He was pronounced dead on the spot.
A forensic doctor from the Institute of Legal Medicine later recovered the body from the hotel in the Balearic Islands.
