He is enjoying a well-deserved break after the Premier League season.
And Liverpool star Joel Matip headed straight to the beach on Thursday with his pregnant wife Larissa Stollenwerk as they enjoyed a sunny getaway at Branco Beach in Mykonos.
The German centre-back, 31, showed off his shirtless physique as he took his spouse for a walk on the beach as they got ready to welcome their second child.
Larissa proudly showed off her growing belly in a plunging black bikini with a shimmering gold overlay as she and Joel took a stroll along the sand.
Matip and Larissa, who married in 2020, announced the birth of their first child, a son, in June 2021, with the brunette posting a photo of their new addition to Instagram.

She captioned her post, “He is everything I never knew I needed. I love you.’
Last month, Larissa announced that she and her husband were expecting their second child, posting a stunning black and white photo of her growing belly.
She wrote the caption, “No.2 #babyisloading.”
It was previously reported that Liverpool are planning to sell Matip this summer, after making nearly 200 appearances for the club.
With just a year left in his contract, this summer is the last chance for the Reds to cash in on Matip before he leaves on a free transfer in 2024.
In 2021, Joel declined the invitation to return to international football, according to Cameroonian manager Toni Conceicao.
Conceicao revealed that he had invited all active Cameroonian players to the international line-up who had previously announced they were unavailable when he took over as boss in 2019.
However, Matip, who has not played for his country since 2015, is one of Cameroon’s most high-profile names but has declined the chance of a return.

He declined to return in 2016 after citing mismanagement issues and bad experiences with former coaching staff at international level. Conceicao insisted it is a ‘problem’ that the Liverpool star does not want to return.
“Matip’s situation is not new,” Conceicao said at a press conference as he announced his 28-man squad for the 2022 World Cup qualifier against Malawi.
“There are players who wanted to come back to the national team. For me there is no need to hire a player who is not ready to return.
Matip has long been against a return to international football, revealing in 2017 that his decision was made.
