Noel Gallagher plays impromptu gig at airport baggage reclaim area

Noel Gallagher shared a hilarious photo as he performed for two airport travelers on Thursday, but they seemed unimpressed.

The Oasis legend opened his guitar case and started playing at the baggage carousel, but the women in the arrivals hall sat on the bench next to him and looked the other way.

The 56-year-old – whose hits included Stand By Me – had landed at Palm Beach International Airport, Florida, USA.

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds performs tonight at the Credit Union Amphitheater in Tampa.

It’s because music fans have flocked to Glastonbury, where Noel performed last year and Oasis headlined in 2004.

Noel joked as he shared the moment on Instagram, “Headlining Carousel two, Palm Beach International Airport, Florida.”

One fan said in the comments, “Wow, the only time I’d want to be stuck in an airport.”

Another added: “Those people don’t know how lucky they are.”

Another quipped, “Intentionally ignored by Blur fan.”

Another said, “You have to flip the guitar case so people can throw you some money.” That would be epic.’

Another person added, “This is an album cover. Make it happen, Noel.”

It comes after Noel revealed earlier this week that he’s going through a “turbulent and distressing time,” five months after sharing his split from wife Sara MacDonald.

The star announced he was divorcing his wife Sara, 51, after 12 years of marriage in January and spoke about his current headspace.

He said in a podcast with Matt Morgan, “I find myself daydreaming about the future lately. I currently have a challenging personal problem to deal with.’

“I find myself not worrying about what my life will look like in a year. That takes up most of my waking thoughts right now.’

‘I’m not really used to that. I’m used to just being in the moment and everything being stable where it’s a bit turbulent at the moment.’

“I believe life is a series of choices. You instinctively make good ones and I try to avoid the bad ones.’

Speaking of his ideal woman, he revealed, “Divvy birds are fucking awesome. I worship them.’

He has been spotted on a string of dates since breaking up with model Charlotte Carter-Allen and author Dorothea Gundtoft.

Noel recently opened up about the end of his 12-year marriage.

He told Big Issue magazine, “When you’re in your mid-fifties, you come to a kind of crossroads in your life.”

‘It is not unusual for people who have had a long-term relationship to go their separate ways after the age of fifty.

“I know a lot of people who are in the same boat as me and Sara. Especially after the pandemic.’

Noel reportedly enjoyed a “double date” with model Charlotte, who has appeared in music videos for Kanye West and a record with Eurythmics star Dave Stewart.

Noel and Sara are parents to two sons, Donovan, 15, and Sonny, 12. The rocker is also father to his eldest daughter Anais, 22, from his previous relationship with ex-wife Meg Mathews.

They have lived in an £8 million South Downs mansion near the Hampshire town of Petersfield since 2019, with their two children.

Noel met Sara in 2000 at an Ibiza club called Space – a year before his divorce from his first wife Meg.

The rocker was married to Meg for four years.

Noel and Sara married in 2011 at the Lime Wood Hotel in the New Forest in a £60,000 ceremony.
