Jacqueline Jossa made a shock return to EastEnders on Thursday night as Lauren Branning.

The actress, 30, left fans completely stunned when she appeared on screen in the opening moments of the episode to visit the Beale family abroad.

She made the unexpected return to the role following her one-off return in the BBC soap for Dot Cotton’s funeral.

Her entry came when Michelle Collins returned to the soap as the infamous Cindy Beale, and her whereabouts became clear on Thursday’s episode.

Cindy returned to the soap opera in the closing moments of Wednesday’s episode, when she was finally revealed to be George Knight’s ex-wife Rose.

And in Tuesday’s episode, Cindy was seen with her long-suffering husband Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) living abroad with their son Peter Beale and grandson Louie.

Jacqueline was then seen arriving to visit Peter and their son Louie, while Cindy and Ian hurried to hide from her before discovering that Cindy was still alive – 26 years after she was believed to have died in childbirth.

Fans were
