The lead singer of one of the biggest bands of the late 90s is unrecognizable with long hair

He is part of one of the most popular bands of the late 1990s and early 2000s with songs on mainstream radio.

He is the band’s lead singer, as well as the only surviving original member. The musician founded the band when he was only 16 years old.

The Grammy-nominated alternative rock band, which has sold some 15 million records worldwide, originated in Mississippi.

He wrote one of their biggest hits during math class at the age of 15.

In 2001, the band won Favorite Pop/Rock New Artist at the American Music Awards.

Brad is a 44-year-old singer from Escatawpa, Mississippi, who formed the band at age 16.

Brad has been sporting the longer hair for a while now, showing it off on his Instagram page for his 88,000 followers.

The singer often shares throwback snaps on his social media, including a photo earlier this year from 20 years ago during the Away From The Sun Tour in Europe.

In the late 1990s and early 2000s, Brad wore short hair.

He was originally the lead singer and drummer before focusing more on singing.

Their debut studio album was released in 2000 – called The Better Life.

The album became the 11th best-selling album of 2000 – with Kryptonite, Duck and Run and Loser being the top hits.

They also re-recorded their song Be Like That for American Pie 2 with tweaked lines.

3 Doors Down released their second album, Away from the Sun, in 2002; it featured hits like Here Without You, When I’m Gone and The Road I’m On.

They followed with Seventeen Days in 2005, 3 Doors Down in 2008, Time of My Life in 2011 and Us and the Night in 2016.

Brad formed the band with Matt Roberts and Todd Harrell; Matt served as lead guitarist and Todd was bass guitarist.

The artist previously revealed that he wrote their hit debut single Kryptonite in algebra class while attending high school in Mississippi.

Chris Henderson joined the band in 1998 and soon after they recorded their demo CD – which also included Kryptonite.

They gave their CD to a local station WCPR-FM, which played Kryptonite – eventually becoming their most requested song for months.

WCPR-FM’s director sent the song to a manager named Phin Daly, who passed it on to De Goot Entertainment’s Bill McGathy – eventually leading to their signing to the record label that worked on The Better Life album.

Daniel Adair was on drums for the band from 2002 to 2006.

In 2013, band member Todd was arrested for drunk driving and charged with vehicular homicide and was fired from the band.

He was under the influence of prescription drugs during the accident that happened in Tennessee in which a man named Paul Howard Shoulders, Jr.

Todd was replaced by Justin.

On August 20, 2016, Matt died of a prescription drug overdose at the age of 38, leaving Brad as the only original founding member.

3 Doors Down currently consists of Brad, Chris Henderson, Chet Roberts, Justin Biltonen and Greg Upchurch.

3 Doors Down are currently on tour – called the Away From The Sun Anniversary Tour.

The tour started earlier this month and will conclude in October this year.
