Everton have confirmed that Tom Davies will leave the club after the midfielder turned down the offer of a new contract.
The Toffees announced earlier this month that Davies was one of three first-team players to be offered new deals, along with captain Seamus Coleman and goalkeeper Andy Lonergan.
Davies has opted to decline the offer to stay at Goodison Park, with the 24-year-old prioritizing securing regular first-team football.
“We have offered Tom a new contract but he feels he has reached the stage in his career where he needs regular first-team football and so he wants to look at alternative options outside Everton,” said Kevin Thelwell, Everton . director of football.

Davies had been with Everton since he was 11 years old and progressed through the club’s academy to break into the first team.
The midfielder made his debut for his youth club as a 17-year-old against Southampton in 2016, while becoming the club’s youngest captain at the age of 20 years and 60 days.
Davies also captained England at youth level up to the Under-21s.
The 24-year-old leaves after 179 appearances for the club and scored seven goals.
Davies made 19 appearances in the Premier League last season, nine of them under manager Sean Dyche.
Only four of his Premier League games got started during the campaign, with Davies playing 90 minutes on just one occasion.
