Hollywood star Zendaya hires hunky former Take Me Out contestant as her new bodyguard

Zendaya has hired a former Take Me Out contestant as her new bodyguard.

The Hollywood star, 26, famous for her role in Marvel’s Spider-Man films, has reportedly enlisted the help of an ex-Royal Marine named Joel, who once appeared on the ITV dating show in 2019.

And Joel was seen by her side enjoying a private shopping spree at a Vivienne Westwood store in London last week.

While he also fell for the Euphoria actress at a Bulgari event in Venice last month.

During his time on Take Me Out hosted by Paddy McGuinness, Joel described himself as a ‘real action guy looking for an outdoor girl, who also likes a good night’.

The hunk, from Kettering, Northamptonshire, told the ladies: ‘My shirt is always fresh; my meal is always served on time. I may have a tough job, but I’ll also be the perfect househusband.’

And while he initially made a great impression with most of the ladies keeping their lights on, some girls quickly turned off when he stated that he treats his housework like a military operation.

In his VT, Joel told the ladies that he loved dressing up and was even spotted on a night out with his friends dressed in a hot dog costume.

He then added on camera, “Show this tough guy his soft side.”

Meanwhile, in the next round, he impressed the women even more when he showed off his muscular arms after stripping down to his black vest to take the Take Me Out assault course.

The challenge then saw Joel jump tree trunks, scramble monkey bars, push ups and climb a rope – much to the delight of the spectators.

Last week, Joel stood guard as Zendaya proved her Hollywood status when she closed two Vivienne Westwood stores in London for private shopping.

The actress kept a line of shoppers waiting outside during the heat wave on Thursday as she browsed the racks of designer goods with her stylist Law Roach.

Joel, wearing a powder blue shirt and beige trousers, was next seen leading the pair to a waiting car outside.

It comes as Zendaya joined the stars to watch Pharrell Williams make his debut as creative director for Louis Vuitton at Paris Fashion Week.

The actress turned heads when she arrived at the spring/summer 2024 menswear show in a glittering suit by the designer on Tuesday night.
