Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage promises the very best of the best in music every year, and this year is no different as headliners such as Elton John and Gun N Roses are on the programme.
Festival organizers described the iconic stage as ‘the most instantly recognized festival stage in the world’.
Since its inception in 1971, the stage has had quite the lineup and has included: The Rolling Stones, Radiohead, Oasis, Arctic Monkeys, Shirley Bassey and many more.
David Bowie delivered one of the most memorable performances at Glastonbury in 2000 on stage.

Friday June 23
Arctic Monkeys are scheduled to headline between 10:15pm – 11:45pm, but Glastonbury has to confirm the Sheffield rocker’s appearance as the band had to cancel a show in Dublin due to Alex Turner’s ‘acute laryngitis’.
The frontman was given medical advice to rest before his third Glastonbury set. Prior to the band, the following acts will perform on the Pyramid Stage:
- Royal Blood 20:15 – 21:15
- The Churnups 18:15 – 19:30
- Texas 4:15 PM – 5:15 PM
- Stefflon Thurs 14:45 – 15:45
- Maisie Peters 13:15 – 14:15
- The Master Musicians of Joujouka 12:00 – 12:45
Alex Turner has ‘acute laryngitis’ and has been given medical advice to rest ahead of Arctic Monkeys’ set at Glastonbury – the festival has yet to confirm if they will be performing

While the Pyramid Stage always showcases the hottest names in music, Glastonbury organizers recommend trying the festival’s ‘tapas’ experience and moving between stages.
The Other Stage also has an impressive lineup this weekend, headlined by Wizkid, Lana Del Rey and Queens of the Stone Age on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The festival has over 100 different stages and over 30 ‘areas’, with 900 acres of Somerset farm there is always something to discover.
