Soryotanog Shrine location and walkthrough in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Soryotanog Shrine is inside The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom‘s Gerudo Desert, especially in (or on top of) Gerudo town.

Our guide will help you find the location of Soryotanog Shrine and the “buried light” puzzle to earn the shrine treasure chests And Light of blessing. You may not immediately notice the shrine in the small Gerudo Town area; it’s actually on top. Don’t worry – we’ll show you.

Location Soryotanog Shrine

Soryotanog Shrine is found inside Gerudo town in the Gerudo Desert on the coordinates (-3883, -2964, 0123).

Soryotanog is at the very top of Gerudo Town and you will have to use To take off to get there. You will meet Riju in front of a fortress structure and a cutscene will play so you can see the area where the shrine is located. (It’s the tall rock structures.) Climb the stairs to the right of Riju and make your way to what appears to be her bedroom – her diary is on a desk. Use Ascend to go through the ceiling and keep doing this until you reach the shrine.

Soryotanog Shrine Walkthrough

Soryotanog Shrine uses fans and mirrors in his puzzles. The fans are largely for moving around and clearing piles of sand covering key features, while the mirrors are needed to redirect light to open a locked gate. The Buried light puzzle name makes sense now, huh?

1. Go forward into the first room. Usage Ultra convenient to pull the fan out of the pile of sand in the back right corner of the room.

2. Hit the fan to activate it and blow away that pile of sand.

3. Take the fan and take it to the sand piles on the left side of the room.

4. Blow away the sand piles to reveal a treasury.

5. Open the chest to collect small key.

6. Use the small key to open the door on the right side of the room, near the sand pile where the fan came from.

7. Enter the room and take your fan with you. Right in front of you is another pile of sand with an object in it. To get there, you have to fight against one Construct. Drop the fan to fight before continuing.

8. Grab your fan and head to the right side of the room to clear out another pile of sand. It will reveal a small opening. Drop the fan and go inside.

9. Inside there is another pile of sand and another fan. Grab the fan using Ultra convenient and clear the stacks. There is a construction in one of them.

10. Defeat the Construct and take the dropped one Fan Guster.

11. Place the fan on the floor with the wind pointing up towards the ledge. Activate it and slide to the next floor.

12. Hit the pile of sand blocking the gear with the Fan Guster, which blows the sand away.

13. The gear will be activated once cleared. A gate opens to a treasury with 10 arrows in it.

14. Go back to the room and then through the secret passage you came from. You are now back in the room where you fought the Construct.

15. Look up to the other side of the room and you will see a ledge. Usage To take off to go through that ledge to the next floor.

16. Go to the next room. There is a Construct on the raised platform at the back of the room. Beat it.

17. Clean up the sand heaps.

18. You clean a beam of light and a mirror device. Pick up the mirror and place it on the light source under the platform overhang.

19. Turn the mirror so that it points towards the previous room.

20. Use Ascend to return to the platform where you entered the room and slide down to the other room.

21. Pick up the mirror on the floor using Ultra convenient and place it in the beam of light.

22. Point the mirror at the orange lock mechanism above the door to unlock the gate.

23. Go through the gate and examine the sigil to complete the shrine and receive the Light of blessing.
