Gabby Agbonlahor loves knowing Jack Grealish’s celebrations will anger ‘so many bitter people’

Gabby Agbonlahor admits he likes to know ‘party boy’ Jack Grealish’s celebrations will anger ‘so many embittered people’ – but hints the antics are on hold until after service in England

Gabby Agbonlahor has admitted he loved watching Jack Grealish’s celebrations after winning the Treble with Manchester City – largely due to the inevitable bitter reactions from fans watching the striker.

Grealish has been at the center of the Citizens’ well-documented celebrations in recent days, starting after their historic Champions League final victory over Inter Milan.

After winning the final in Turkey, a number of players, including Grealish, flew to Ibiza to celebrate the win before landing back in England, where they took part in a trophy parade on an open-top bus tour of Manchester.

Grealish and other City stars then joined their national teams, with the England men’s side meeting at St George’s Park before heading to Malta for an international match on Thursday.

And while much attention was paid to the physical state such antics had left the England international ahead of two games with the Three Lions, fellow Aston Villa legend Agbonlahor enjoyed the scenes.

“I just love to see the celebrations because there are so many bitter people it will make it really angry and I love seeing how happy he is so I’m happy for the boy,” he shared. talkSPORT.

‘I just see him enjoying himself [himself],ā€ the 36-year-old added when asked about his peak.

“You’ve done the job, played in several games this season, had sleepless nights after games – people don’t see that part of it where you’re shattered, you’re dehydrated, you can’t eat after games, people don’t see the side of footballers where they put into work and how hard it is to be a professional footballer.

‘They did and now it’s time to celebrate.

ā€œThe festivities have been suspended for the England service and they will continue after the England service because he will have more free time and it is well deserved.

ā€œI just see a boy living the dream. He has won the treble and is celebrating properly.’

Likely sleep deprived, the City star was seen still in his match kit before boarding a plane to Ibiza for a short flight in the early hours of Sunday before returning for Monday’s bus parade.

Drinks followed at the Pacha nightclub on the island, before the baddest City group flew back home to continue the party.

Grealish pulled the cameras during Monday’s bus parade through Manchester, basking topless in the drizzle and filming the moment Erling Haaland poured a bottle of champagne over his head.

Players continued the cheering into one final night, with both Haaland and Grealish and several of their teammates heading to Depot Mayfield in Manchester.

ā€œI thought I was a party animal,ā€ Agbonnlahor added, ā€œbut he caught up with me.

ā€œHe’s always been a party animal ever since he was legally allowed to start drinking. He’d be out with Callum Robinson and his teammates, but if you do what you do on the field, no one can ask you off.”
