The world’s happiest country to launch a unique online masterclass in happiness

are you down? Now you can learn how to cheer yourself up from experts in feeling merry: The happiest country in the world launches a unique online masterclass in happiness

If you need to be cheered up, there is help from experts in feeling jovial feelings – Finnish people.

Finland is the world’s happiest country and will reveal its ‘secret happiness skills’ later this summer through a unique online ‘Masterclass of Happiness’, where people learn about ‘Finnish happiness’ so they can ‘find their inner Finn’.

The Scandinavian country was named the happiest country in the world for the sixth year in a row in the recent World Happiness Report, which is based on people’s own assessment of their happiness, as well as economic and social data.

Coaching in the free masterclass covers four main topics – nature and lifestyle; health and balance; design and every day; and food and well-being.

Throughout the course, the experts of the masterclasses will ‘guide participants to a balanced way of life, achieving happiness the Finnish way’.

Fourteen people will receive free personal happiness education, following Finland’s ‘worldwide call’ for participants, which selected candidates from 150,000 applicants from 190 countries.

The personal, four-day masterclass, organized by the Finnish Tourist Board, is currently taking place at the luxurious Kuru Resort in the Finnish Lake District.

Surrounded by fragrant pine forests and breathtaking views, the resort is home to ‘luxury’ villas that are ‘designed from the ground up with natural connections in mind’. As an added bonus, each villa also has its own spa and sauna.

Commenting on the Masterclass in Happiness, Heli Jimenez Senior Director, International Marketing at Business Finland said: ‘As the world’s happiest nation, we would like to share our special keys to happiness that make the Finnish lifestyle so unique.

“We feel that our style of happiness comes from a down-to-earth lifestyle and a close relationship with nature.

And more importantly, we feel that happiness is a skill that can be learned and shared, rather than some kind of mystical state – that’s why we’re [happy to welcome] our masterclass participants to the beautiful Finnish Lake District to get in touch with their inner happiness.’
