“Get out, stupid son of a bitch: Trump supporters are forcing British reporter out of Versailles cafe

A British news reporter was condemned by a group of Donald Trump supporters when she asked former President Donald Trump if “he was ready to go to jail.”

The journalist identified as Sophie Alexander, a producer at Sky News, followed Trump supporters to an impromptu event at a cafe following the former president’s arraignment at a federal courthouse in Miami on Tuesday.

Alexander was standing among a crowd of supporters at Miami’s famed Cuban eatery Versailles when she asked her question, which was met with boos and a slew of swear words, including “traitor!” with some telling her ‘Shut up!’ and to ‘Get the fuck out of here!’

An irate man was seen yelling in Alexander’s face and telling her, “Get out, you stupid bastard!”, while videotaping the raucous scene before she was escorted out.

Trump pleaded not guilty to 37 criminal charges related to alleged mishandling of classified documents.

Trump is the first former US president to be charged with federal crimes.

At the café, he gave a speech ranting at the negative coverage he was receiving, bemoaning a “government that was out of control” and teasing his Tuesday night speech to be given in Bedminster, New Jersey.

Alexander shared the incident on Twitter, writing, “Just got kicked out of the Versailles bakery in Miami for asking President Trump if he was ready to go to jail.”

She added: “A man yelled ‘stupid bitch’ in my face while others said I was a ‘traitor.'”

She continued, “I didn’t yell ‘Trump for jail.’ I asked, “President Trump are you ready for jail?”, a perfectly legitimate question.’

Her post was viewed thousands of times and she thanked her followers by telling them she “got away completely safe.”

A defiant Trump left federal court on Tuesday and headed straight to Miami’s iconic Cuban restaurant Versailles, where he offered to buy food for everyone and listened to customers chant “Happy Birthday.”

The former president, who turns 77 on Wednesday, prayed with religious leaders, snapped a photo with mixed martial arts fighter Jorge Masvidal and ripped apart a “government spiraling out of control.”

‘Food for everyone!’ Trump screamed during the surprise stop at Versailles after he pleaded not guilty.

But he also flashed his frustration in the midst of singing. ‘Some birthday. We’ve got a government that’s out of control,’ he grumbled.

“I think it’s going great,” he said as he made his way through supporters on the day he was fingerprinted, arrested and became the first president to appear before a judge charged with a federal crime.

“I think it’s a rigged deal here,” he added. “I’m going to give a little speech tonight in Bedminster and I hope you’re there,” the ex-president also said.

Both Trump and his aide Walt Nauta were accused of plotting to keep classified documents at Mar-a-Lago. Nauta walked next to Trump at Versailles.

Special Counsel Jack Smith, who is handling the case for the Justice Department, sat in the front row of US magistrate Jonathan Goodman’s courtroom, while the ex-president sat with his lawyers.

Trump has called Smith several names, including a “deranged psychopath.”

The trial began just before 3 p.m. EST. Trump was released and no bond was set. After about 20 minutes of arguing by opposing lawyers, the court ruled that the ex-president is not allowed to talk to witnesses, including Nauta, about the case.

Trump keeps his passport and remains free to travel.

Earlier, the former commander-in-chief was arrested and fingerprints were taken, but he was not handcuffed and no mug shot was taken.

The booking procedure was completed shortly before 2.30 pm.
