Dannii Minogue reveals she was ‘so nervous’ for iconic performance with sister Kylie on WorldPride – after releasing her latest hit single

Dannii Minogue has admitted that sharing the stage with her sister Kylie Minogue was a nerve-wracking moment.

The pair performed at the Sydney WorldPride Opening Concert, Live And Proud, at The Domain, to an audience of 21,000 punters in February.

The pop stars joined in for a rendition of Kylie’s hit song, All The Lovers, which delighted audiences and viewers watching the live stream around the world.

Dannii, 51, admitted she was itching to perform as it was her first time on stage in eight years.

“It was wild!” said the Australian pop star in The Project on Tuesday night.

“The day before we were rehearsing and the sound guy, I’ve worked with him before with Kylie, he said, ‘Gosh, it’s been eight years since your last performance.’

“And that’s when I said, ‘Oh God, that’s why I’m so nervous!'”

Despite her nerves, Dannii said it was nice to be back on stage, especially after the pandemic lockdowns.

β€œIt was so nice to come from Melbourne to Sydney after the lockdown to be able to enjoy a crowd of people and music, you can’t do that, a live performance.”

The This Is It hitmaker is currently celebrating the 20th anniversary of her fourth album, Neon Nights, with a special edition re-release.

It comes after Kylie celebrated Dannii’s success her new single We Could be the One, which reached number five on the UK Singles Downloads Chart.

The 55-year-old music legend announced the joyful news about her younger sister on Saturday with a heartwarming post.

Kylie posted to Instagram sharing a photo of herself sharing the stage with Dannii, taken at the Sydney World Pride Opening Concert.

‘So proud of my sister. To be on the charts together is crazy, awesome and amazing,” Kylie gushed in the caption.

Dannii’s We Could Be The One, the theme song for her new gay dating show, I Kissed A Boy, was released last week.
