Kylian Mbappe claims that Paris Saint-Germain has known for almost a year that he had no intention of renewing his contract with the club.
The 24-year-old striker stunned the football world on Monday when he informed the club in a letter that he did not want to use the extension clause that would have him contracted until June 2025.
It means Mbappé has just one year left to complete his contract with Parc des Princes and the French champions will not risk letting their superstar go next summer for free.
But in a bombshell statement to AFPMbappe emphasizes that this is not news to those behind the scenes at PSG.
“PSG have been made aware of my decision not to go beyond 2024 since July 15, 2022, and the letter that was sent only served to confirm what I had already told them,” he said.

Real Madrid have long had an interest in the France international and once again appear to be the standout choice in their search for a new striker. Le Parisian claiming that the club in the Spanish capital is his favorite landing place.
