MailOnline has contacted the Metropolitan Police and Ben for comment.
Prior to the drama, Ben and Vanessa split after 16 years as a couple after he started cheating on her during the relationship.
When first announcing the harassment, Ben took to Instagram to reveal that he was constantly being abused online by a stalker, but assured fans he was fine after contacting the Metropolitan Police about the ordeal.
He wrote in a first message: ‘Danger! [A stalker] contacts my followers and spreads lies. She is dangerous and has a history of this. He then posted a video saying, “People ask me if I’m okay. I’m definitely fine. No problem.’
He revealed that he had been harassed for months and said, “It’s a girl who I think is reaching out to some of my followers and spreading stuff, this and that. Look after.
“She doesn’t go by her real name so she contacts you through a troll account and basically she’s just a troll and has been harassing me for months and things like that.
“So much so that the Metropolitan Police is involved. So if you’re getting unreliable messages from someone, it’s her.’
The news comes after it was revealed that Ben has found a new career path by providing dating tips for an online magazine after cheating on his ex-fiancée.

According to The mirrorBen advised readers on how to deal with seeing an ex with a new partner and how to reconcile a relationship after a marital breakup.
In response to a reader’s question on how to make amends with an angry girlfriend, he suggested, “Apologize for any mistakes and express sincere regrets.” Show that you are willing to do whatever it takes to make amends and ask for forgiveness.”
Another reader wrote asking for advice on how to deal with their paranoid and controlling girlfriend.
Ben advised, “Dealing with a partner’s insecurities can be challenging, especially if they stem from past traumas. Let her know that while you understand her past, her need to follow your every move is stifling and of no use to either of you.”
