Dylan Mulvaney poses with Kellogg’s mascot Tony the Tiger at the Tony Awards in NYC

Dylan Mulvaney was startled on the magenta carpet of the 76th Tony Awards in New York City when Frosted Flakes mascot Tony the Tiger snuck up on her.

The transgender influencer posted a video on Instagram showing how she is shocked by the tiger on the carpet, causing her to fall over hilariously.

“That just kind of freaked me out,” Dylan said as she and photographers taking pictures laughed at the interaction.

The social media star wore a floor-length black dress with gemstone decals created by Christian Siriano that accentuated her newly debuted bleach blonde hair.

Mulvaney studied musical theater at university and played Elder White on the 2019 National Tour of The Book of Mormon.

After the scare with the Frosted Flakes mascot, Mulvaney went on to put her dress on full display in front of a page-heavy Tony Awards backdrop.

A photo posted by Mulvaney’s Tony’s Facebook account received dozens of likes and comments from those praising the TikToker.

“Beautiful,” wrote Facebook user Brenda Ashdown Whitney.

“She looks so beautiful!” shared Rocky Enclada.

‘I love the blonde hair! Beautiful,” another person added.

Mulvaney appeared at the event via a collaboration with Meta, according to her Instagram post. In her video, she said she was overjoyed to have the chance to attend Broadway’s biggest night, especially given her theater history.

Not everyone was equally positive about the presence of the trans activist at the event.

“She’s only here because of the controversy,” one Facebook user wrote.

The user is referring to the Bud Light controversy where the company hired Mulvaney to endorse their beer, sparking a massive outcry.

The company has since lost billions of dollars in market cap and continues to be boycotted by millions of consumers.

In early June, Modelo Especial dethroned Bud Light as the top U.S. beer, as its sales rose more than 15 percent from the same period a year ago.

For the week ending May 20, Bud Light sales fell 25.7 percent, according to data from Bump Williams Consulting, cited by the New York Post.

“While Bud Light is losing week after week, Modelo Especial is winning week after week and now Modelo is selling Bud Light on a national basis across all trade channels combined,” Bump Williams told the Post.

Bud Light officials have since issued a “half-brewed” apology for upsetting fans.

Mulvaney recently spoke to ‘Them,” an LGBTQ+ magazine and said she will only work with brands that want to support all transgender people.

“If a brand wants to work with me that much, then they have to work with other transgender people,” Mulvaney told the magazine.

“It’s not enough to hire me, this white skinny trans girl. I want all the dolls to get all the brand deals,” she continued.

Mulvaney first said, “Regardless of your gender, people will project things onto you about who you’re supposed to be. And I think we might as well tell people what our real purpose is.’

Mulvaney told “Them” she prefers not to name her critics “because it gives them the satisfaction of believing I’m thinking of them.”

“It shows my followers that I’m standing up for myself, but also emphasizes that their story is loud enough to matter,” she told the magazine.
