However, Tom has some reservations about portraying the superhero in a fourth film.

He explained, “I’m going to have to plead for the fifth there, because I’m not willing to talk about Spider-Man’s future — as everyone knows, I love him, he changed my life.” I like the character.

“Should we find a way to tell his story and do him justice, we will, but if we can’t find a way to do that…if we can’t find a way to compete with the third, then he will wave away into the sunset.’

It comes after Tom admitted he would be lucky enough to land the role again after being asked Screen Rant which Spider-Man villain he would like to face next.

He said, ‘That’s a very difficult question. I mean, Spider-Man has arguably some of the best villains in the comic book world.

‘I like the character. I like Spider Man. I would be lucky to play him again, but we’ll have to wait and see.’

Tom has played the role of Spider-Man/Peter Parker since 2016 and recently emphasized that he would love to portray the legendary hero on the big screen again.

The Uncharted star said, “I think as long as we can do justice to Peter Parker. As long as we can keep elevating and making the movies better and making them mean more, then I’ll be there.

“I’d be stupid to say I wouldn’t be the happiest kid in the world if I got to do it again. Things are going on, but we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.”

However, any Spidey return will have to wait as Tom confirmed that he will be taking a year off from work after starring in and executive producing the psychological thriller TV series The Crowded Room.
