Laura Byrne revealed on Saturday that her experience with Dancing With The Stars Australia was much better than her stint with The Bachelor in 2017.
Despite winning the heart of now-husband Matty Johnson, the reality TV star, 38, said she had to sleep with one eye open on the matchmaking show.
Meanwhile, the radio presenter’s time on the Channel Seven dance competition has been much more “heartwarming” and “supportive”.
“I used to worry, ‘Oh, how are they going to use this against me,'” she said of the 21 other women she competed against for 35-year-old Matty.
Laura and Matty got married in November 2022 after meeting on The Bachelor. The couple welcomed daughters Marlie-Mae in 2019 and Lola in February 2021.

‘[DWTS] was a completely different experience, where everyone just looks out for each other in this family-friendly and beautiful, heart-warming dance-related TV show,” she continued.
“And even though it’s a competition, at the end of the day it was really such a great, supportive little show.”
KIIS FM’s Laura revealed in May that she’ll be kicking her heels for the upcoming season of Channel Seven’s Dancing With the Stars.
She squealed with delight when she announced the news to her co-hosts Brittany Hockley and Mitch Churi on their radio show The Pick Up.

Laura said she was practicing 25 hours a week to get her moves right for the ratings, which is currently in pre-production and will air later this year.
“I’ve been training like crazy, my butt is literally gone, look how flat it is,” she told her co-hosts, adding, “I’ve got nothing left on me.”
The TV personality said at the time she couldn’t name her dance partner, but revealed he was a 21-year-old drill sergeant who has never done DWTS and is “desperate to win”
