Jon Gosselin reveals all eight of his children graduated but only went to one due to estrangement

Longtime reality star Jon Gosselin proudly announced that all eight of his children were celebrating graduations this year, but only attending one due to his estrangement with six of his children.

“I’ve had eight graduations this year,” the former Jon & Kate Plus 8 star, 46, revealed to People while attending the Kickz for Kids charity

He continued, “I only attended one. The only kids I see and talk to are Hannah [Gosselin] and Collin [Gosselin]. So I’m sort of estranged from Mady [Gosselin] and Kara [Gosselin] for nine years.’

Twin sisters Mady and Cara, both 22, have just graduated from college, while his sextuplets – Collin, Aaden, Joel, Hannah, Alexis and Leah, all 19, who he shares with ex-wife Kate Gosselin, are high school graduates .

According to Jon, he and Kate went to the same high school for their children, but kept their distance from each other and never crossed paths.

“Hannah invited Kate and… we saw each other, but there was a whole football field between us,” the Pennsylvania native said of the only graduation he attended recently.

He added, “I spoke with Hannah and Collin before graduation to make sure it would be cordial.”

Their father, who has been working as a DJ for the last few years, subsequently revealed that Aaden, Leah, Joel and Alexis Gosselin all still live with their mother.

“It was really hard at first, but now it’s, you know, you hope for the best, but you don’t stop to think about it, you know what I mean?” the proud father shared about his estrangement from six of his children.

“We may develop a relationship in the future,” he said of his hopes of rekindling the relationship with them, adding, “but yeah. I can’t put all my eggs in one basket like I used to and be mad about it.”

Jon and Kate were married for about 10 years starting in 1999 until their divorce in 2009.

It was Jon who came out and revealed that Kate wanted the divorce, claiming that “Jon’s activities” left her “no choice but to file legal action to” protect herself and the children.

After the split and divorce, Jon began dating Liz Jannetta in January 2012, a divorced mother of three who works with computers. They dated for about two years until they decided to go their separate ways in 2014.

From there, the former reality dad dated Colleen Conrad for seven years, but finally called it quits in 2021.

During the recent interview with People, Jon confessed that he “hasn’t spoken to Kate in years.”

The former couple starred together in Jon & Kate Plus 8, which was later renamed Kate Plus 8, for about 10 years, from 2007 to 2017.

In total, the reality show ran for 11 seasons on both the Discovery Health Channel and TLC.
