New trailer for Flamin’ Hot on Disney+, directed by Eva Longoria and based on the inspiring story of the Frito-Lay janitor behind one of America’s most beloved snacks
Eva Longoria has built a successful career as a director and her latest film is now out on Disney+.
The platform has released the trailer for Flamin’ Hot’, which premieres on June 9 exclusively on Disney+ under the Star banner.
Flamin’ Hot is the inspiring story of Richard Montañez (Jesse Garcia) who was a Frito-Lay janitor.
He disrupted the food industry by channeling his Mexican-American heritage to turn Flamin’ Hot Cheetos from a snack into an iconic global pop culture phenomenon.
The film is directed by award-winning actor/director/producer Longoria, best known for Desperate Housewives.

It stars Jesse Garcia as Richard, Annie Gonzalez as his wife, Judy and Emilio Rivera as Richard’s father Nacho.
Also starring are Dennis Haysbert as Richard’s mentor, Clarence, and four-time Emmy Award winner Tony Shalhoub as PepsiCo CEO Roger Enrico.
Other cast members include Matt Walsh, Bobby Soto and Pepe Serna.
Longoria, 48, recently sat down with Mario Lopez for an interview on Access Hollywood and revealed that she misses Desperate Housewives and if there was a reboot she would be the “first to sign up.”
‘I miss Gabby so much! I miss being Gabby Solis,” she said.
There’s only one problem. Series creator Marc Cherry disagrees with the idea of bringing back the women of Wisteria Lane.

“Marc wouldn’t do it, our creator. I’ve spoken to him several times. He has a “why now” feeling, like, for the sake of a reboot. He wouldn’t do it,’ she explained.
She continued, “He wants to know, ‘What do I have to say with these characters that we haven’t fully explored yet.'”
There’s another potential problem with a reboot: Gabby should have new neighbors on Wisteria Lane.
“There was no one on the street I had to sleep with. Like I slept with everyone. I thought, “What are we going to do now,” Eva joked.
Desperate Housewives aired for eight seasons from 2004 to 2012.
Flamin’ Hot’ will premiere exclusively on Disney+ under the Star banner on June 9.
