Princess Eugenie set to launch a new series of her Ocean Advocate podcast

Princess Eugenie launches the second season of her ocean conservation miniseries today, just days after the birth of her son Ernest.

The King’s niece, 33, and her husband Jack Brooksbank announced the birth of their second son, named Ernest George Ronnie, on Monday.

But it was straight back to work for Princess Eugenie, who confirmed last night that the second series of Ocean Advocate will launch just in time for World Ocean Day on Friday.

In a short clip, the royal family previews some of its upcoming guests in the series, including Zandile Ndhlovu, the founder of The Black Mermaid Foundation.

She also talks to Brigitta Gunawan, who is behind the 30 x 30 Indonesia project. The goal is to help protect 30% of the world’s oceans by 2030.

Princess Eugenie announced the second series, saying, ‘In celebration of World Ocean Day, I’m launching my Ocean Advocate series two tomorrow!

“Stay tuned for episode one.”

The first season of the miniseries kicked off on June 9, 2022, and she welcomed guests throughout the summer, including her “best friend” and singer Ellie Goulding.

The mother-of-two said she wanted to hear from experts why we “should protect the ocean and how important it is that we do that.”

She also promised that the Ocean Advocate series would bring voices from “some incredible people who have spent many, many years trying to protect the ocean and what lives in it.”

Eugenie has a track record of environmental awareness and has been an ambassador for the Blue Marine Foundation for two years now.

In April, she revealed how becoming a mother to her oldest son August Brooksbank, two, had made her want to do more to protect the environment.

She said, “Priorities change when you have kids; you want to do everything you can for them – and for your grandchildren.

“It’s only August 2nd, but I hope what I’m doing seeps through to him and one day he takes it up too.”

Princess Eugenie is a staunch campaigner on environmental issues and even had a plastic-free wedding to her husband Jack Brooksbank in 2018.

The royal family kept Ernest’s birth a secret for about a week before announcing his arrival to the public on Monday.

His name is a tribute to his late grandfather, Jack’s father George, who died in 2021 at the age of 72, and Fergie’s father Major Ronald Ferguson.

Eugenie also said his name was a tribute to his great-great-grandfather George V, whose middle name was also Ernest.
